Gloria Moses This winter I had an art show with my daughter, Glenna. We only showed abstracts. The work was very exciting and our work complemented each others. At this time,in the month of May I am working on ceramics, bowls, tea pots, etc. Making a tea pot is exciting and challenging. It can be like a sculpture or be functional as well.

GLORIA MOSES, painter, ceramic artist

I fell in love with color when I was a child. I loved the variety of reds, yellows, blues, greens and purples. I still have that passion when I paint, mixing gorgeous colors and using bright paint from the tube. My paintings come out of my subconscious mind. I combine textures and drawing with colors. My subjects are landscape and sometimes faces. I enjoy attaching pieces to my works and frequently paint a place I have visited or seen while hiking the Death Valley area, watching scenes of the California coast and the garden at home. My work is both expressionist and abstract.
